About Us
Owner / Interviewer
I was that girl who loved to sit with my grandmother (pictured here) in our living room as she and our family would visit. We would laugh and talk, and I was spellbound. My love for family drew me in, but I was equally fascinated by their intimate knowledge of one another, their stories, and their respective histories. Even then I knew I had stumbled upon a treasure trove. This has remained true throughout my life, whether I was writing, podcasting, or meeting people. Always, at the forefront of what I was doing, was a curiosity about people. Memories In The Present and the legacy video interviews I now create with folks, are a natural outgrowth of all of that. Every time I embark on documenting someone’s life, I appreciate my good fortune at having found an occupation I love—unearthing, to some extent, what makes us who we are, and then having the opportunity to honor and preserve that.
